Bio:

Daeron was conceived during orc raid on the Dawnseeker elven tribe
– Given name of Daeron the Cursed
Raised communally by the Dawnseekers until after his seventh birthday
– Daeron was not mistreated by elves
– He never knew who his mother was
– Once he showed some skill for survival the Dawnseekers contacted Eileanvin (Eilly)
Eileanvin (Eilly)
– Eilly was herself an outcast from the Dawnseeker tribe
– She was born out of wedlock between a male elder of the tribe and a female adventurer
– Her mother died in childbirth
– The tribe raised her and taught her to be self-reliant
– She started living on her own in the wilds more and more, starting at the age of 15
Eilly took Daeron as her apprentice
– Daeron was 7
– Eilly was 21
– Eilly taught Daeron how to survive in wooded and mountainous terrain
– All survival training was wrapped up in worship of Ketephys
Dawnseeker tribe
– Would provide for the pair as needed
– Bedding, clothing, arms and armor
– Both were taught how to make arms and armor
– Expected the pair to be scouts for the tribe
– Finding and killing any monsters that would endanger the tribe
– Alerting the tribe of goblins or orc movements
Chance Savior (Eilly)
– Professor Lorrimor was surrounded by undead at both ends of a pass within Eilly’s domain
– She and Daeron came to the professor’s aid, shooting down the walking dead
– Daeron and Eilly healed the professor’s wounds and nursed him back to health
– The professor’s gratitude was effusive
– He gave Eilly an heirloom necklace so that if their paths crossed again he could repay her kindness
– Daeron was 16 at this time Eilly was 30
Eilly and Daeron more than mentor and apprentice
– Romance starts when Daeron is 17, but is not fully realized until he is 20
– Eilly is 34 when she and Daeron become bonded
– The tribe is mostly unaware of the union
– Those who are aware do not officially acknowledge the union, intentionally avoiding any conversation that may bring up the topic
Hobgoblin Onslaught
– Daeron and Eilly were ambushed by hobgoblins lead by a vicious bugbear
– Daeron was 22, Eilly was 36
– Eilly was brutally killed in front of Daeron
– The bugbear insisted upon leaving Daeron to live
– Hobgoblins under the orders of the bugbear left Daeron near death at the edge of a monastery
Recovery and Mourning
– The monks nursed Daeron back to health
– Daeron developed a friendship with one of the monks a Vanara (a race of sentient monkeys) named Tee Chee
– When Daeron was well enough to travel he returned to the Dawnseeks to see that Eilly was put to rest, accompanied by Tee Chee
– The Dawnseekers returned the necklace that Professor Lorrimor had given Eilly
– With Eilly gone the Dawnseekers requested that Daeron leave their tribal homelands
– “There really is nothing left for you here…”
Seeking Professor Lorrimor
– With no place to call home Daeron and the monk sought out Professor Lorrimor
– They had little to go on other than a name and a necklace
– It has taken them nearly 12 months to find the professor only to find out that he has recently died
– As the odd pair approached town the superstitious people closed up shops and locked doors, but they were stopped by insert NPC with plot hook here
